An exhibition after 400 years
Prince-Bishop Julius Echter von Mespelbrunn is considered to be one of the most influental, but also the most controversial, personalities in Würzburg's history.
On the 400th anniversary of his death in 2017, the Museum am Dom will be presenting a special exhibition entitled "Julius Echter 1573 - 1617. The controversial Prince-Bishop", while the Martin von Wagner Museum will also be holding a special exhibition entitled "Julius Echter - Patron of the Arts". Both focus on Echter's life and word, but have different emphases.
