Purposes and legal bases for the processing of personal data
The purpose of the processing is the fulfillment of the public tasks assigned to us by the legislator.  Unless stated otherwise, the legal basis for the processing of your data results from Article 4 (1) of the Bavarian Data Protection Act (BayDSG) in conjunction with Article 6 (1) (e) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Accordingly, we are allowed to process the data required to fulfill a task assigned to us. Insofar as you have consented to a processing, the data processing is based on Article 6 (1) (a) of the GDPR.


Recipients of personal data
As far as your data is processed electronically, the technical operation of our data processing systems is carried out by regiogate GmbH. If necessary, your data will be transmitted to the relevant supervisory and auditing authorities for the purpose of exercising the respective control rights. To ward off threats to security in information technology, protocol data can be forwarded to the State Office for Security in Information Technology (Landesamt für Sicherheit in der Informationstechnik) on the basis of Article 12 of the Bavarian E-Government Act (for more details see “Logging“).


Duration of storage of personal data 
Your data will only be stored for as long as is necessary to fulfill the task while observing legal retention periods.


Your rights

With regards to your personal data processed by us, you as the data subject are entitled to the following rights: 

  • If your personal data is processed, you have the right to obtain information about the data stored about you (Article 15 GDPR). 
  • If inaccurate personal data is processed, you have the right to have it corrected (Article 16 GDPR).
  • If the legal prerequisites exist, you can request the deletion or limitation of processing, as well as object to the processing (Articles 17, 18 and 21 GDPR).
  • If you have consented to the processing or a data-processing contract and the data processing is carried out using automated procedures, you may be entitled to data transferability (Article 20 GDPR).
  • If you have consented to the processing and the processing is based on this consent, you can revoke the consent at any time for the future. The legality of the data processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the revocation is not affected by this.

Logging
When you access these or other websites, you transmit data to our web server via your Internet browser. The following data is recorded during an ongoing connection for communication between your Internet browser and our web server:

  • access date and time
  • name of the accessed file 
  • page from which the file was accessed
  • access status (file transferred, file not found, etc.) 
  • used web browsers and used operating system
  • complete IP address of the requesting computer
  • transferred amount of data.

After the end of the connection, the data is anonymized by shortening the IP address at the domain level, so that it is no longer possible to relate to individual users. Personal data will only be saved if you voluntarily send them, for example in the context of a general request by e-mail.

The information provided by (name of public authority) uses active components such as JavaScript, Java applets or Active X controls on the websites. You may disable this feature in the settings of your Internet browser.


Cookies
When accessing this website, we store cookies (small files) on your hard disk that are valid for the duration of your visit to the website. We use these exclusively to identify you during your visit to our website. Most browsers are set to accept the use of cookies, but this feature can be disabled by setting the Internet browser for the current session or permanently. At the end of your visit, these cookies are automatically deleted from your hard drive.

Integration of YouTube videos
Our website includes videos from the external video platform YouTube. By default, it only embeds deactivated YouTube channel images that do not automatically connect to YouTube's servers. Thus, the operator receives no data from the user when accessing the web pages. You can decide for yourself if you want to enable the YouTube videos. Only if you enable the playback of the videos by clicking on “Permanent activation“, you give the consent that the necessary data (including the Internet address of the current page and the IP address of the user) is transmitted to the operator.  In order to save the setting desired by the user, we set a cookie that stores the parameters. When setting these cookies, however, we do not store any personal data, they only contain anonymized data to customize the browser. Afterwards the videos are active and can be played by the user. If you would like to deactivate the automatic loading of YouTube videos again, you can remove the checkmark for approval under the privacy symbol. This also updates the settings of the cookie.


Social media buttons
In order to share the content of our online offers through social networks, we offer so-called social media buttons that act as external links.
The buttons offered directly by the operators of social networks illegally transmit personal data such as the IP address or whole cookies already when loading a website on which they are integrated and thus give unsolicited information about your surfing behavior to the social networks. You do not have to be logged in or be a member of the respective network. With the existing buttons no information is transmitted to one of these providers without clicking on the icons. Only when you click on the button, you will be redirected to the respective offer and the address of the current page is passed as a parameter. We have no influence on whether or how the providers use this information for evaluation.


Read-aloud function
We want to enable as many users as possible to have comprehensive access to our homepage tailored to their individual needs. For the purposes of accessibility, a read-aloud function is therefore offered on the homepage. Collection of additional data
Insofar as you enter personal or business data (e-mail addresses, names, addresses, etc.) on our website, these will be used exclusively for the purpose of sending the information requested or the purposes stated in the form. The data will not be shared with third parties.  The use of the services and features offered there is voluntary.


Information according to Article 13 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR) for the distribution of newsletters
If you subscribe to one of our newsletters, we collect the following data from you: Your e-mail address (mandatory) as well as title, last name, first name (optional information in order to allow a suitable salutation). This data is processed only for the purpose of sending the respective newsletter. There is no processing for other purposes and no transfer of data to third parties.
By subscribing to the newsletter, you consent to the data processing for the above purpose. The legal basis for data processing is Article 6 (1a) EU GDPR. If you order information material, we collect the following data from you:
Title, first name, last name, street, house number, zip code, city and e-mail address (mandatory) as well as phone and fax number, company name, country, information on the desired information material and your message to us (voluntary information to offer you an ideal service). This data will only be processed for the purpose of sending information material or, if necessary, to answer your request. There is no processing for other purposes and no transfer of data to third parties.
By ordering informational material, you consent to the processing of data for the above purpose.  The legal basis for data processing is Article 6 (1a) EU GDPR. You can revoke your consent at any time without affecting the legality of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the revocation. At the latest one year after the order your data will be deleted.
As affected person you are entitled to the rights mentioned above.


Electronic mail (e-mail)
Information sent in an unencrypted electronic mail (e-mail) by you to us might be read by third parties during the transmission process. Generally, we do not have the possibility to check your identity, and do not know who conceals behind an e-mail address. For this reason, legally secure communication is not ensured when communicating by e-mail. Like many e-mail providers, we implement filters against unsolicited advertising (spam filters) which erroneously, though seldom, classify normal e-mails automatically as unsolicited advertising and delete them. In any case, e-mails containing harmful programs (“viruses”) are automatically deleted by us. If you wish to send us messages that require protection, we recommend encrypting and signing them in order to prevent unauthorized disclosure and falsification in the transmission route or to send the message to us by conventional mail.
