Walk around Fortress Marienberg and Pilgrimage church "Käppele"
Fortress Marienberg - Käppele - Schützenhof
The hike combines the imposing Marienberg Fortress, the best views of famous vineyards and Balthasar Neumann's baroque pilgrimage church Käppele.
Please note: You hike on well-developed paved paths. The ascent to the Käppele runs over 50 meters in altitude with steep sections and stairs.

Käppele - Frankenwarte - Steinbachtal - Mainauen
The path leads over the Nikolausberg through the densely wooded Steinbachtal to the local recreation area Mainauen on well-developed hiking trails.
Please note: The ascent to the Käppele runs over 50 meters in altitude with steep sections and stairs.

From the park of the State Horticultural Show of 1990, you can hike along paved paths to Marienberg Fortress and the picturesque pilgrimage church Käppele. Through the natural monument Annaschlucht, the densely wooded Steinbachtal and the Mainauen you will walk back to the city

Walk from Würzburg to Castle and Rokokogarten in Veitshöchheim
Würzburg - Margetshöchheim - Veitshöchheim
Hike nexto the gently flowing river Main on a level route through the park-like Main floodplain until you reach Veitshöchheim. Highlight and goal of this hike is a visit of one of the most beautiful rococo gardens in Europe. The adjacent castle is the former summer residence of the Prince Bishops of Würzburg. Return trip by busses No 11 or 19, by boat, or on foot.

Romantic wine villages in the Franconian Wine Country
Würzburg - Randersacker - Eibelstadt - Sommerhausen
You can reach romantic wine villages in the Franconian Wine Country by walking along a section of the Via Romea - a pilgrimage route that leads from Stade in norhern Germany to Rome. The route runs from Würzburg to Eibelstadt along the river Main on a flat stretch. After Eibelstadt you will walk briefly into the vineyards, then the path descends gently to Sommerhausen.

Forest trail to Forsthaus Guttenberg
Steinbachtal - Guttenberger Forst - Reichenberg
The trail starts at the old customs house ("Zollhaus"), at the begining of the Steinbachtal Valley. The hike leads you through the forest on well-developed, slightly uphill paths to the local recreation area Guttenberger Forst. Once there, you find a playground and picnic area. Return by bus No 311 (direction: Heidingsfeld) or continue on foot to Reichenberg (3 km).

From vineyard "Würzburger Stein" to the geographical center of Europe Würzburg - Schenkenturm - Gadheim
From the famous Würzburger Stein vineyard, you will hike into the Dürrbach Valley up to the picturesque Schenkenturm tower. The final destination of this hike is Gadheim, the geographic center of the EU since Brexit.
