Stroll through the Old Town of Würzburg
A guided stroll through Würzburg's Old Town reveals a number of great sights and attractions, e.g. the Gothic Marienkapelle and its sandstone sculptures by Tilman Riemenschneider, the Falkenhaus and its magnificent rococo façade, the historic town hall, and the Kiliansdom. The tour concludes with a view from the Alte Mainbrücke of Fortress Marienberg, the Käppele, and the surrounding vineyards.

Wine Tasting “Residenz” and dinner at the Staatlicher Hofkeller
The Staatlicher Hofkeller dates back to 1128. The wine tasting “Residenz” begins with a welcome drink and an informative cellar tour through the expansive tunnels and halls of the ancient wine cellar of the prince bishops. Afterwards enjoy six different wines in the candlelit wine cellar and a dinner.

Day 2

To Iphofen and Dettelbach via the Franconian Wine Country
Travel to the famous wine town of Iphofen via the towns of Kitzingen and Mainbernheim. After a walking tour of the Medieval town center there is an optional visit to a vinotheque, where you can taste and learn about Franconian wine. Continue past Rödelsee to the town of Dettelbach. Guided walking tour and visit of the pilgrimage church “Maria im Sand”. There is time for an optional visit to the “KuK” (Culture and Communications Center) that houses the pilgrim museum.

Walking Tour of the Fortress Marienberg
This guided walking tour around Fortress Marienberg covers the Marienkirche, a small, round church that is one of the oldest churches in Germany. Also included is the Renaissance temple above the 104 meter deep well. The Fürstengarten, which is open from April through October, offers one of the best views of the town and the Main River valley.
