UNESCO World Heritage Site Residence Palace
Balthasar Neumann built the residence of the former prince bishops and it is one of the most important baroque castles in Europe. The tour starts in the Garden Hall and then takes you to the impressive grand staircase. Marvel at the enormous dome and the unique ceiling fresco by the Venetian artist Tiepolo. Then wander through the White Hall and the beautiful stuccowork by Antonio Bossi to the magnificent Imperial Hall. From there you will visit the Baroque, southerly imperial rooms and the glorious mirror cabinet.

Stroll through the Old Town of Würzburg
A guided stroll through Würzburg's Old Town reveals a lot of great sights and attractions. The tour covers the Gothic Marienkapelle and its sandstone sculptures by Tilman Riemenschneider, the Falkenhaus and its magnificent rococo façade, the historical town hall, and the Kiliansdom (cathedral). The tour concludes with a view from the Alte Mainbrücke (Old Main River Bridge) of the Fortress Marienberg, the Käppele, and the surrounding vineyards.

Boat Trip to Veitshöchheim
Starting at the “Alter Kranen” dock, cruise down the Main River past vineyards and the Oberzell Monastery to the town of Veitshöchheim. Located in the center of the picturesque old town of Veitshöchheim is the former summer residence of the prince bishops of Würzburg. Enjoy a stroll through one of the most beautiful Rococo gardens in all of Europe.
Return by boat at 4:00 pm or by chartered bus.

Wine Tasting Experience at the Bürgerspital Winery
The historical wine estate of the Foundation Bürgerspital zum Hl. Geist cultivates 110 hectares and is one of Germany’s largest and most important wineries. Start with a tour of the cellar and its wooden wine barrels. Then enjoy hors d’oeuvres or a full menu and complimentary wines.

The Romantic Road (Full-Day Excursion)
Würzburg is the gateway to the Romantic Road – Germany’s most popular tourist route. From Würzburg, you travel through Wertheim, Tauberbischofsheim and Bad Mergentheim, continue through the lovely Tauber River valley to Weikersheim and its impressive Renaissance castle that is always worth a visit. Next stop is Creglingen and the Herrgottskirche church with the marvelous wooden altar by Tilman Riemenschneider. The main attraction of the trip is Rothenburg ob der Tauber, a town that doesn’t appear to have changed much since the Middle Ages.
Duration: Approx. 8 hours
Costs: € 255.00 plus entrance fees
Group size: Limited to 50 participants per tour guide using their own coach
Notice: Reservation fees include the tour guide. Not included in the price are entry fees, castle tour in Weikersheim, and lunch.
A visit to the castle in Weikersheim requires prior reservation.
